InterTradeIreland FOCUS Programme helps deliver sales for Mr Crumb |
|
| |
One year ago Mr Crumb, the Westmeath food manufacturer was successfully specialising
in gourmet stuffing, crust toppings & melts, dessert puddings, crepes, gravies, and
garlic breads for the Republic of Ireland market. Mr Crumb achieved widespread
recognition as a quality producer in the south of Ireland retail, food service and
food processing sectors. In October 2005 a strategic decision was taken to replicate
their success in the North of Ireland. To assist them with this plan Mr Crumb applied
to participate in the InterTradeIreland FOCUS Programme.
Having been accepted onto the FOCUS Programme, and through the work of Ailse Molloy,
the FOCUS Graduate, Mr Crumb has gone from a near zero presence in the NI market to
achieving listings with over 40 retail outlets including NISA stores. Mr Crumb has
also started supplying food producers such as Hungry House Sandwiches and Food
Service suppliers such as Henderson'’s Food Service. The company have also just
successfully launched their new "Toscano'’s" range north of the border. In the words
of Mr Crumb'’s MD Bernard Coyle "it is truly amazing what can be achieved in less
than a year with good strategic thinking, the right people and the support of an
organisation such as InterTradeIreland".
